The Macabeu is a very popular grape variety in the Languedoc-Roussillon. It is rarely, if ever, used on it’s own, but it is used in a large number of wines in the final blend.

The Macabeu vine is vigorous, high yielding and produces slightly floral, medium quality, light wine for early drinking.
