Sieur d'Arques Grande Cuvée 1531
Grape varieties: Chardonnay (70%), Chenin Blanc (20%) and Mauzac (10%)
Terroir: Limoux is situated to the south of the Languedoc-Roussillon where, at the monastery of St Hilaire, monks are reputed to have discovered the process of producing sparkling wine. Dom Pérignon later took this method back to Champagne, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Tasting notes: On the nose a fresh, lively and bursting with green apple and citrus aromas. On the palate a fresh citrusy flavour leading to a typical bready, toasty flavour. The colour is a light pale yellow with green reflections with delicate little bubbles.
