We follow the guidelines for distance selling as issued by the Office of Fair Trading
Availability of stock
All of the wines that are listed are offered subject to availability. Wherever possible we will have stock of all the wines on our list. In the unlikely event that a particular wine is not available, we will contact you with a number of options. These may include: the offer of a suitable alternative, the offer to wait until stock becomes available or the offer to cancel your order.
Making A Purchase
We will accept orders by telephone, fax and online. Our contact details are on the ‘Contact Us’ page. If ordering online there is a direct link to our shopping-cart where the process is extremely simple. When ready to purchase your selections you will be asked to complete a short form, with contact details, delivery address etc. You will also be asked to confirm that you are 18 years or older.
Unfortunately we cannot offer a collection service as we do not operate a retail shop.
All of the prices quoted on our website, unless otherwise stated, are for 75cl bottles. All prices include UK duty and VAT, but do not include any delivery charges. All prices may be subject to change, without notice, due to tax and duty increases, changes in currency exchange rates, increased transportation costs or for any other reason that is beyond our control.
Any contract between us comes into force once we have received your order and accepted it.
Duty and VAT Charges
All quoted prices are UK duty paid (currently £1.92 per 75cl bottle) and include VAT at 20%. Our VAT number is 934 3470 25.
Our premises licence number is 006580, issued by the London Borough of Havering.
We supply within the UK only. Unfortunately we are unable to deliver to non-mainland addresses (Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, etc.).
Orders to be delivered to more than one address will be treated as separate orders for delivery charge purposes.
Delivery will usually be by courier or, if local, it may be by ourselves. We aim to dispatch your purchases within 48 hours of receiving your order, although you should allow up to a week for delivery. If we are going to deliver your purchases we will contact you to arrange a suitable time. When paying by cheque we reserve the right to await cheque clearance prior to our dispatching your order. Our couriers are unable to deliver on Saturdays, Sundays, or Bank Holidays.
There may be occasions when, due to holidays or sickness, our normal delivery timings may not be possible. Please contact us if your order is urgent or is required by a specific date.
We would ask that you check your purchases on delivery and any problems noted on the delivery note. In the unlikely event of a problem, we would ask that you also notify us as soon as possible. Should you not be able to check the goods on arrival, the couriers delivery note should be marked ‘unchecked’.
If you know that you will not be at home to accept delivery of your purchases, please provide an alternative address (for example, a work address) where the delivery can be made.
Should your wine be faulty we will gladly replace it or provide an alternative wine or, if you prefer, issue a refund or credit note to the value of the purchase price.
Unfortunately under or normal terms and conditions we do not offer a ‘sale or return’ option. Should you require a ‘sale or return’ facility please contact us where we may be able to help.
For the purposes of compliance with data protection legislation, you are advised that we keep records of customer contact details in electronic form solely for the purpose of trading with and/or communicating with our customers. We will safeguard all of our customer information and will not disclose any details to third parties without your express permission, except as required by law.
